The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season will kick off on March 22 at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium. The star-studded opening ceremony is expected to be the talk of the town, featuring celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, AR Rahman, and Sonu Nigam set to perform.

“The stage is set, the lights are bright, and the stars are ready to shine at the TATA IPL 2024 opening ceremony!” tweets the official IPL account. A fantastic lineup awaits you, blending cricket and entertainment seamlessly! Starting at 6:30 p.m. on March 22nd.

According to a verified source, Rahman and Sonu will perform patriotic music along with Bollywood hits. They mentioned that the entire opening ceremony, including performances by Akshay and Tiger, will last about 30 minutes.

In addition to musical performances, Sonu and Rahman will also collaborate on a few Bollywood tunes. The statement also mentions a highlight of the opening ceremony: a never-before-seen display of AR (Augmented Reality) technology.
